Howard, if you think Google is going to release a syncing solution in
the near-term, why would you consider buying lifetime subscriptions to
Spanning Sync? I've chosen to buy one year subscriptions for just this
reason.

At $65/lifetime membership you'd have to stick with iCal and Google
for at least 4 years or so before you'd even break even. I've enough
of an optimist to think that I'll be using something greater and more
wonderful in 4 years time.

Now if Spanning Sync continues to demonstrate that they're going to
add value to their product and keep pace with developments on the
Google side and the Apple side then I may need to rethink my strategy.
(And the hint that over the air syncing may be coming is a sign that
such a thing might be happening.)
