Not sure, but when you enable MobileMe, is iCal synced to your iPod via iTunes? I manually checked the boxes in iTunes to sync certain calendars and contacts to my iPod and all seems to sync OK, both in MM and to my iPod. You may have to delete/rebuild your iSync database files:
