Jason- Unfortunately Google currently doesn't provide a way to distinguish between "My Contacts" and "Suggested Contacts" using the Contacts API, so there's no way for us to filter Suggested Contacts out. This is true for other sync vendors like Soocial too. (One of their employees incorrectly claimed they could filter Suggested Contacts at http://getsatisfaction.com/soocial/topics/does_the_sync_with_gmail_account_for_new_my_contacts_versus_suggested_contacts, but was later corrected by another employee. In fact, they do the same "poor man's filtering" that we do, where we don't sync contacts that lack both a name and a company name.)
We know this is a very important feature to our users and are actively lobbying Google to add the required functionality to the API. You can help us by "starring" the issue and commenting here: http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=677 Thanks, Charlie On Sep 29, 5:23 pm, "Jason Stiefel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Google adds these contacts automatically.
