Keep in mind that the Google Calendar quota is not "events per calendar" or even "total events". It's more like "events synced per week". AFAIK, there's no real limit on the number of events in your Google Calendar, however syncing 4000 events all at once might trip the quota.
To get around the quota, you can do something like this: * Make sure the iCal version of the calendars are correct and up-to- date * Turn calendar syncing off in the Spanning Sync pref pane * Delete the Google versions of the calendars that you sync * Create new Google calendars with the same name * In iCal, export each calendar as an ICAL file (File > Export) * In Google, import each ICAL file into the appropriate blank Google calendar (Add > Import Calendar) * Open the Spanning Sync pref pane, turn on syncing, and link these new calendars with their iCal counterparts * Sync The existing events won't actually sync because they are already there, so they shouldn't count against your quota. From then on you'll only be syncing new and newly changed events which should easily keep you under quota. Just be sure not to "start over" or "replace data on Google" from Spanning Sync, or doing any kind of reset with Apple Sync Services. -- Larry Hendricks [email protected] http://spanningsync.com On Jan 10, 6:18 pm, StephenG <[email protected]> wrote: > I'm getting the "Running out of space" on Google Cal message, and even > though I've cleared the duplicates (with iCal Dupe Deleter) and then > deleted my Google cal events per the nice instructions from Spanning > Sync, and re-sync'd, I'm still running out of space. > > iCal Dupe Deleter tells me (maybe iCal does this somewhere but I'm not > sure) that across my 4 calendars, I've got about 4000 events.
