Hi,

The only time I've seen this is when someone is trying to sync
multiple iCal calendars with a single Google calendar.  It sounds like
this is what you're doing.  The reason the color is changing is
because the Google calendar has one color and is changing all your
iCal calendars to a single color.  You should be using Spanning Sync
with a 1-to-1 pairing.  For example, if you have 3 iCal calendars
you're syncing with Google calendar, you need to have 3 individual
Google calendars to pair them with.  Once you have it setup correctly
you shouldn't see the color changes in iCal anymore.
