I just turned on contacts sync between Mac AddBook and Gmail contacts. I also use Plaxo to sync between Mac AddBook and Plaxo. After what looked like a successful sync, it looks like all the contacts that are linked with Plaxo were left out in the sync and missing in Gmail Contacts.
