I have a G1 (Android) and a Mac. I have noticed a few times now that I will update a contact in Android (the update could be to add another phone number) and then I loose some of the previously held data (the first phone number just vanished).
I am still looking into this, but it looks like spanning sync might be loosing some of this data...
