If you can live with its limitations (up to 5 calendars, no SMS alarm
syncing, no additional Exchange support, increased battery drain,
etc), Google's over-the-air sync works well for iPhone users:

So you can sync you Mac to Google using Spanning Sync, then Google to
your iPhone using their over-the-air sync.
Or if you can use Pocket Informant on your iPhone, which replaces the
built-in calendar app (and is much more powerful):
