I had the same thing -- and I also had some entries disappear entirely. Fortunately I had backed it up first. At this point I have 1272 entries in Address Book and 1437 in Google contacts, so I assume there are still a lot of dups. I also have at least some Address Book entries with the same fields in seven or eight times. At this point I'm going to revert to the backup then tell SS to clobber the Google list entirely. I don't *think* I've made any entries since the backup.
