Hi Larry, I can't seem to install version 3.0 either and the uninstaller also doesn't run. The preference pane won't open at all now.
I entered the commands in the terminal to try to uninstall what was left of Spanning Sync, hoping that 3.0 would be able to install after a restart but that hasn't happened.
