Hi Tom, We wouldn't make you pay for extra software to fix problems that Spanning Sync caused. If you haven't already, please contact our tech support ([email protected]). If Spanning Tools for Mac is needed to fix problems that Spanning Sync caused, we'll provide a complimentary license so that you can do so.
To your 2nd question, we go great lengths to avoid creating duplicates. The prompt that you refer to actually doesn't belong to Spanning Sync; it comes from Apple's Conflict Resolver. I'm not clear on why you'd get a duplicate after using it, but we can probably help through the tech support address.
