That happens because spanning sync is using a cheap godaddy level 2
ssl certificate.

open: https://secure.spanningsync.com/osx/3/getcals in safari and
check always trust that SSL

after that the sync will work again.

This is PER machine trust; if you get a new machine, upgrade, or
replace an HD and have to do a time machine restore you have to do
this.

A simple $100 proper SSL cert would solve the problem, not sure why
spanning sync doesn't do that.
