H Jason, Spanning Sync doesn't interact with any phone over bluetooth or any other connection. Spanning Sync keeps your Mac's Address Book and iCal data in sync with your Google account. Most people that want over-the-air syncing for the iPhone use Google's Mobile Sync Feature. So, once Spanning Sync syncs your Mac and your Google account, then the phone will sync with Google and vice-versa.
