This means that Apple Sync Services is unable to start the sync process. This could happen if one of its tools were hung up, so a simple restart might fix it. If not, then the next thing to try is to reset its sync history. Here's how: * Open iSync (in /Applications) * Go to preferences * Click Reset Sync History And finally in some cases Apple Sync Services can become so confused that you need to trash its database.
