Hi Keith- Excellent (and important) question!
The Spanning Sync servers never store, or even process, your Google password. Your account name and password are stored (encrypted) in Keychain on your Mac, and authentication with Google is done purely between your Mac and Google--our servers aren't involved in that step. What we do store is your account name (email address), so we can look up your subscription information and see if you're a trial or paid user, and the status of your subscription. We also store information including the date your account was created, whether you've asked us not to email you, and your Save 5+Make 5 affiliate code and when you agreed to the S5+M5 terms of service (if you did). Additionally, since we use PayPal for our payment processor, we never store any credit card information. Thanks fort asking! Not enough people care about details like this. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
