Hi, You can use Spanning Sync to do exactly what you're wanting. You can create all the calendars you want locally in iCal on the computer. You would then sync that calendar to your Google account. At this point iCal on the computer and Google Calendar will contain the same data and sync in both directions. You can then sync that calendar to the iOS devices either through iCal on the computer, or directly with the Google account.
