Hi Greg, You can use Spanning Sync to get the final outcome you're wanting, but you have to remember that Spanning Sync doesn't interact with Outlook at all. You have to get a successful sync between Outlook and iCal before Spanning Sync can sync that data with Google (through the iCal Outlook calendar(s)). If Outlook isn't syncing successfully with iCal, there's no way for Spanning Sync to sync that data with Google.
I'd first suggest leaving Spanning Sync out of the sync mix until you're able to get Outlook syncing all data successfully with iCal, then introduce Spanning Sync into the mix.
