As the official organ of the society, the publication will aim to engage scholars, clinicians and researchers in the crucial discourse about traumatic stress and its consequences, publishing peer-reviewed original research as well as papers documenting evidence-based clinical practice. The Journal is in line with ESTSS's mission to advance and disseminate scientific knowledge about traumatic stress within Europe and internationally, and the decision to publish open access attests to the society’s stand on free accessibility of research publications to a wider scientific community via the web. The new journal is expected to go live with content during the fall of 2010, and will be led by Associate Professor Miranda Olff, Head of the Center for Psychological Trauma at the Department of Psychiatry at the Academic Medical Center of the University of Amsterdam, and current President of ESTSS. Six associate editors and two statistical advisors will support her along with an Editorial Board comprised of leading researchers from some twenty different countries. ******** The European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS), established in 1993, is the European network for professionals in the field of psychotraumatology.
