Dear Friends and Supporters of the WiderNet Project,

The WiderNet Project will be celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary this
fall.............Yes, WiderNet has been in existence for 10 years! Quite an
accomplishment and something we want to celebrate!

Launched in 2000, the WiderNet Project distributes millions of digital
materials via the innovative eGranary Digital Library. This library offers
resources off-line to schools and institutions in developing countries that
have little or no access to the Internet. WiderNet also refurbishes donated
computers and printers, shipping them to schools throughout the developing
world. Over 350 eGranary Digital Libraries have been installed in the field,
$1,177,344 hardware and software donations have been received, 13,613
volunteer hours have been given to this project, and over 4,000 people have
gone through the WiderNet training programs.
