The problem is the cost of the second Ethernet port.  SBus
ethernet cards are not cheap.  

CPU power should be fine if
you just run the firewall stuff and not X11 or anything like that.
Even a DSL line is pretty slow compared to Ethernet, so your
DSL firewall will not see much of a load.
