redhat 6.2 , Serial console ckermit lost control char ^c .

        Hello All,  Just did a fresh install of RH-6.2 on a Ultra5 using
        serial console & the control char ^c fails .  It works at the
        'ok' prompt .  In what config file is this setable ?  Along with 
        taking away the 'Break' sequence .  This makes for some really
        hard times at the serial console .  Tia,  JimL
