Ok so I believe the aty_mmap function is being passed my memory
offset as the vma parameter, but I don't see how this is mapped to
physical areas or what that means about the offset I must pass into
mmap. I posted the code in my last message hoping you or someone else
could just quote the relevant section and correct the mmap call that I
also posted. What is the correct offset for writing data to the
framebuffer? I am not familiar with this code but I've printed out
the relevant section and tried quite a few things but I still can't
get it to work. Do you have any code that works for the frame buffer
device on Ultra 5's? Can you tell me what I was doing wrong in the
posted code snippet?
Once I get this working I will gladly send documentation diffs so
that this entire process can be documented in Documentation/fb/* and
we won't have to waste any more bandwidth on this recurring question.
