I understand that this is the case for the mzxml checksum.

However, I'm talking about the checksum of the RAW file, and moreover, 
the checksum of the string 'abc' using the sha1 code that's in ReAdW. 
This should be invariant.  As far as I can tell, the checksum code is 
either wrong, or works improperly as compiled under windows.
