Hi, I have a problem with fasta_pro.exe. I want to index 6-ORF translation database file for Xtandem run. My database fasta is approximately 200MB and it includes 6 Fasta entries, i.e. 6 ORFs. Therefore, each RF is 35KB. I suppose that fasta_pro.exe cannot handle my database file, because each RF is too long.
I thought to split each RF into possible ORFs and introduce them as Fasta entries, but this will affect my results. Could you please suggest a way to solve the problem?
