Dear Tan,

Dan Clewley has now provided a blog post on setting up a virtual machine with
the software installed:

Best wishes,

Pete

Dear Tan,

I do not really understand what it is you are trying to do with the
instructions from liblas, are you trying to compile from source?

There is a binary windows release available from the bitbucket download page
(https://bitbucket.org/petebunting/spdlib/downloads). Note the viewer is a
separate download from it’s own page
(https://bitbucket.org/petebunting/spd-3d-points-viewer/downloads).

I would still commend using spdlib under linux (or mac osx) however has the
windows build is still a beta release and there has already been a bug reported
within the spdmetrics command.

Dan Clewely’s spectral differences blog includes a post on how to use spdlib
and install it under unix from our conda repository which Dan and I maintain.
http://spectraldifferences.wordpress.com/2014/08/06/dem-spdlib/

I hope that helps.

Best wishes,

Pete

Hello Pete,

Ive been told that spdlib is a great software for full waveform LiDAR
processing and i tried to install it on my desktop but was unsuccessful.

Ive tried the Windows version (following the instruction from the liblas
website, http://www.liblas.org/osgeo4w.html), an error message showed there is
something wrong with the ippj-5.3.dll.

Appreciate if you could give some advice.

thanks.

best regards,

Tan
