Hi all, A quick update on progress for the 3.0 release:
- Gary and I are taking care of the final pull requests and other associated clean-up. Gary is going to generate another preview to double check a few things, make sure everything is rendering correctly and then we will make the final/official release after that. - we had decided to add the LLVM and OpenJDK exceptions but we need a bit more information for each of those before we can finalize, so I’ve marked them both for release 3.1 as we aren’t going to resolve the outstanding questions today and I don’t want to add prematurely, only to have to change something later. - As for release schedule: we will aim to return to a quarterly release schedule, but will look to do a 3.1 release at the end of January to acccomdate the two exceptions mentioned above and provide a quicker next release to allow for any other things we catch for 3.0.
