I plan on changing the structure of the spdx-tools (Java libraries) to include a development branch to accommodate the additional development for 2.0 and the SPDX merge tool being done by Gang Ling. I'll be following the recommended branching strategy from the git-scom.org book: http://git-scm.com/book/en/Git-Branching-Branching-Workflows.
The stable released version will still be in the master branch. Any in progress development will be done on the development branch. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns with the change.
