Those on the call agreed to move forward with the proposed documented in the Spec github issue #113: https://github.com/spdx/spdx-spec/issues/113 Those of you not on the call, please review and add comments if you have any questions or if you disagree with the approach. We also updated the Google Summer of Code project ideas page to be consistent with the proposal. This resulting in a few significant changes to the license namespace repository project idea: * Merged some of the ideas from the distributed license repository (4.2) into the namespace repository project idea (4.1) * Changed the license text repository from a deployed project to a library which can be used to create repositories either by the SPDX organization or by other organization who want to host their own license repository * Removed the 4.2 distributed repository idea since much of the functionality was merged into 4.1. If any students are interested in working on the previous 4.2 and not including 4.1, please contact me. * Added SPDX XML as the preferred format for storing the license information. The XML document schema is still in a proposal stage. The proposed schema can be found at https://github.com/mil-oss/spdx-xsd * Added some specifics on the URL references and how the SPDX documents are related The project ideas page was updated rather quickly, so those of you on the call please review and update anything I missed.
