Hi Nitish,

We looked over the PDF and HTML in some more detail during the tech call today.
Here are some comments. Anyone wishing to provide final comments may do so by
this Friday 9 August 2019.

Overall everything looks great. Here are some minor comments.

HTML

1. Can we remove the header and footer only in the HTML version. They are
a little large so we think it’s a bit distracting wjen reading the spec as it
also clips example blocks. We must keep the header and footer in the PDF.

2. Some of the tables have fixed column widths it seems like. If you look
at table 7.1.1 as an example it looks like th frst column is about 50% of the
table but the text nowhere uses that much space and the other columns with text
are squeezed. If there is fixed width on the tbales through a style sheet maybe
we can instead let them autosize or at least more equitably distribute the
column widths.

PDF

1. In the code snippets, see 2.5.6 as an example, sometimes words are
showing up as bolded randomly. Either particular numbers or words.
Particularly after hyphens.

2. See 2.8.4. In some cases the “ marks are off. We looked at the
Markdown and it seems that the MD uses both smart quotes and regular quotes so
maybe that’s the issue and the MD should be fixed?

3. In the examples can we use a fixed width font to help with
readability? See Appendix 6 as an example.

Thanks so much for your efforts on this.

Jack

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [spdx-tech] GSoC' 19 SPDX Specifications in PDF and HTML,
HTML review

Hello

I've hosted the HTML version of the specs on the github and here's the link to
it https://nitish81299.github.io/spdx-html/

and all the files after and before conversion are present here in this new
repository https://github.com/nitish81299/spdx-html
Sorry for the delay, my college days are started but I can attend the tech call
on August 6th and my time zone is IST (IndianStandard TIme).

Thanks

Nitish
