Yes, 2.2.2 is out, see:
https://github.com/spdx/spdx-spec/releases/tag/v2.2.2
for details on what was included.
TL;DR: There were no new fields introduced, it was aimed at fixing typos
and clarifying ambiguities
so tooling working with 2.2 & 2.2.1 should not require any change (unless
it depended on an area we had to clarify).
