We have had long and involved discussions over naming simple datatypes such as DateTime, SemVer, MediaType and SpdxId. The decision has been made to create model files for the first three and put them in a new Datatypes <https://github.com/spdx/spdx-3-model/tree/main/model/Core/Datatypes> directory.
PR #407 <https://github.com/spdx/spdx-3-model/pull/407> does the same for SpdxId. Because datatypes have had a lot of discussion the PR is quite long, but the only question left to be decided is at the end:* What are the benefits of naming an SpdxId type and does doing so cause any difficulty?* Hopefully we will reach a quick decision at Tuesday's tech team meeting and be able to put this to bed. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
