Hi.

This is more a cf question than a spectra question but the allaire forums
are more or less unusable today so I thought I would try here first.

I'm running coldfusion 4.5.1 and allaire spectra 1.0.1 on a test server
with NTS 4.0, option pack and service pack 5. The machine runs a
scheduled syndaction to syndication.allaire.com every day; it's something
to do with a 'webtopmessage' type, although I have never seen any
syndicated webtop message (where do these appear anyway?)

For some reason the webserver on the test machine died or became
unresponsive during or after such a scheduled action. The last request
seen in the web server log dates from July 10. But the scheduler log quite
happily logs 'scheduled action
cfa_968A2A49-66B3-11D3-AD4D0060B0EB2994_execute [...] submitted
successfully' on July 11, 12 and 13, when the web server has long since
died. The box had been completely idle during the past couple of weeks so
I did not notice it stopped responding until just now. I had to pull out
the good old KILL.EXE to stop the web server.

Obviously the CF 4.5.1 scheduler can't tell if a scheduled task has been
properly submitted to and handled by the web server. :(
