The new hot fixes posted at the Allaire site has a fix for cfa_brower.
We had a prerelease of this and it fixed our problem with the server
dying.

There are also some Solaris fixes. Also, there are a lot of Solaris
improvmements in CF 4.5.1 Sp1 alpha. You may want to look at those
also.

Hi all,

We have a big performance problems on our spectra / solaris / oracle
platform. We had our product tested by compuware, we had all our caching
on (cfa_generatedcontentcache), but the graph of number of users against
the time per page went up in linear manner.
For example:
1 user: 3 seconds
5 user 5 seconds
9 users 9 seconds per page.

This went to absolutely unacceptabel heights.

Have you heard of this before? Could this have to do with cfa_browser.
We tested on a NT machine as well, and that machine blew up immediately
due to cfa_browser. This could not be the case here, because the server
responded, or is this due to Solaris...? Strange thing is that we did
get images from the site, while the cfa_browser is in the
Application.cfm.

Fortunately there was a patch. we havent installed it on Solaris yet.
Could this be the cause or are there more tags going in a loop which
will hardly end.
Is there any expert who has heard of this problem?

Kind regards, Boudewijn
