It should be the case that the current app really just boils down to a
pointer stored in the studio directory.  As far as I can tell, there should
be no relation between anything happening with studio and the Spectra files
themselves (this from a purely theoretic technical perspective).  Any chance
that something else happened at about the same time that could have caused
it?

maybe the
webtop freaked out because the current App was registered in Studio and when
I uninstalled it - something went wrong.

I will post a query on the forums.allaire and see what comes of it - maybe
Amy can shed some light on it.
