One of the questions along the line of yours that I alluded to had a similar
problem. The proposed solution was to have the DISPLAY handler for
the object update a property of the object identifying the full URL context
in which it was being rendered. Then when a search turned up the object
the URL holding it could be used for the link on the search. Of course
if the object can be in multiple containers on multiple pages then you
would need an array of URL's or a list or some such multi-valued
structure to hold them.
You also run the risk of having "stale" URL's for objects that are no
longer on the page but still in the Content Object DB but that's life.
