Hi All, I am fairly new to using spectra, and was wondering what the best way to track users on our website would be. The site i am working on had already been half developed before i arrived. The current setup is a public site that has member access and public access, and the webtop which only has access to the business users. Webtop users have their security details stored in the userDirectory, and members of the public site have password and userid stored in an object. This was done by the previous developers under the assumption that public members should not be able to access the webtop, so they should not be in the userDirectory. The reason this came up is that the business users wish to be able to track where the public members have been on the public site. I have been told that i will need to write my own way of tracking the members. However, after playing with the logging facility, it seems that the best way would be to put the public members in the userDirectory security, deny them access to the webtop, and then use spectra's logging capabilities to find out where they have been. Are there any problems with this setup? Do you need to change spectra core code to deny access to the webtop? How have other people done this? any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using spectra 1.0.1, Oracle (the security db is in oracle too), iis 4, CF 4.5 Thanks, Chris. -- This e-mail may contain confidential and/or privileged information.
