We've been using spectra since last June and haven't seen this problem
before:
In our test environment, webtop's busted.
Symptoms:
1) All the applications are gone,
2)when we try to use the Object Finder we get this message (a message we see
often in the application log, but has never seemed to have an effect on the
running of the site/db/webtop):
Error Diagnostic Information
ODBC Error Code = 23000 (Integrity constraint violation)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]INSERT statement
conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint 'fk_objects_types'. The
conflict occurred in database 'cfaobjects', table 'types', column 'typeid'.
SQL = "insert into objects (
active,archived,attribs,createdby,datetimecreated,datetimelastupdated,label,
lastupdatedby,lockedby,objectid,published,typeid ) values ( ? , ? , ? , ? ,
? , ? , ? , ? , null , ? , ? , ? )"
3) Also, when using the type designer, we can't see any system types and one
screen's worth of our application-specific types.
It doesn't seem to be corrupt data, as the actual site that runs off of the
database is fine.
I haven't tried to recreate the applications yet because we want to know
WHAT happened and WHY it happened. (An ounce of prevention, in case we run
up against this on our live site.)
Any suggestions on what happened? What's the fix?
Thanks for the help,
