The version of SiteMinder Allaire currently OEMs in CF only supports the
iPlanet LDAP server, so unfortunately Novell's is not supported.
I've tried to gain insight into what particular aspect of Iplanet
distinguishes it from other LDAP servers. Since LDAP is a protocol, there
shouldn't be a problem. NDS now supports LDAP v3. Could Allaire please
define what it is about Iplanet LDAP that makes it the only usable solution
and could someone explain why Allaire chose to support a (very expensive)
vendor rather than the protocol itself?
