Can anyone give me a recommendation for how a Solaris box should be speced
to run Spectra 1.5 happily?
I'm not interested in what the Spectra box side says, or what the Allaire
website says, but after actual experience.
Just on RAM, the box for Spectra 1.5 says min 128Mb recommended 256Mb.
We've had a verbal statement from our Allaire reseller that this should be
256Mb/512Mb.
The web site now says 512Mb/1Gb! (All within the space of 2 weeks)
The server will be running Netscape Enterprise webserver under Solaris 7.
The database will be Oracle, but will come from another machine.
Running ColdFusion Enterprise 4.5.1 SP2 and Spectra 1.5
I'm after specs for 2 machines.
One will be an internet site server with only low/medium load (500 unique
visitors per day)
The other will be an intranet server with potentially 1000 users. (high
load)
Can anyone suggest some specs that will keep server caused delays to a
minimum?
