I can get Site designers to work for me at a very low cost.
To get a CF Programer who understands Spectra the cost
of staff jumps up significantly.

If you have ever used Dreamweaver(ultradev) you know
that through javascript windows (extensions, similar to
cf tags) you can create a sequence of actions. I am
developing the base to complete a Spectra imple-
-mentation. I am sure there will be quite a bit of
debugging but once complete I can implement
Spectra with the help of just a few standard
Dreamweaver (wysiwyg) designers.

Pros:
Better design functions

Less technical knowledge needed.

Faster Implementation of site.

Less hassle creating object handlers.

Easier integration into flash.

DHTML the site with full functionality with CF (this was the first thing
completed)

Cons:
Function is limited to the interface.

Slows progress unless constant development to interface is made.

Less control of UUIDS ( I thought this would be easy but it's kicking my
butt. )

Requires design system to have at least 128megs of memory.

Currently, I need four pages open and unfortunately I do not know how to hide
them from the user. They might get confused and try to edit them.
I use activeX to make changes with a vbscript macro.

Summary:
It pretty much works but does have minor bugs. I have put
text on the Two "Do not edit this page" pages. The design time
has cut by over 75% and just about everybody can use it. Best of
all was that Fireworks works great. Using a handler and CFFILE I
can up load a sliced Fireworks image and treat it as an object not
having to write a single line of code to implement it, rollovers and
all. (That feature happened by accident)

Was it what your were thinking? If so good. Some day if I ever get to
writing the documentation I might try to sell it.
