Remember, contains don't _do_ anything w/ ob. Rules do. A container has
rules in it. The rules decide what objects are used. Some rules, like
schedule content, keep a list of objects. These kind of rules are affected
by deletes. So rules perform finds to get the lastest/most recent/etc type
obs. These are NOT affected by the mods.
So, it's not a question of how the _container_ handles active/inactive obs,
it's how the _rule_ handles it. You should be able to edit the rule to look
for a deleted object, and if it find its, remove the invocation.
