Is it possible to set security on a particullar section and/or container
through the Webtop administration. When I set security in the site elements
anyone can still create content and add it to the containers in the site
regardless of what or who has been given access to that section or page. But
when you try to view the page in a browser there is no Content.

Maybe I have this backwards but it was my understanding that site security
page elements allowed or prevented users from changing content in those
areas not prevent people from viewing the content?

And if I give edit access to only certain users under a site section, will
the other users able to edit the content of the objects in the containers
??? If not, why doesn't it work on my application. I am using Spectra 5.1
with all of the hotfixes setup and NO other securized types, objects,
containers etc... just a site section. (tried a page only as well, doesn't
work either).

I am very puzzled with the security... The only thing that seems to be
working for me is if I securize a type. But this is not good enough as I
have several objects of the same type that need different security levels.

Does anyone know of some documentation about security settings, other then
the useless manual received with the product. It's fine to say you can
choose the method level for each components, but what the hell are these
methods doing EXACTLY.... guessing is way too much time consuming as we
never know if it is working or not as the cache (even if turned off) when it
comes to security as a tendancy to play tricks on us ???? Anyone else
feeling what I am feeling right now ? Security black hole !

Thank You...
