Ok found it.
The cfa_objecttypeget tag never inserts a type in the request cache if it
is already in the server cache. This is a bug; present in 1.0.1 as
well as 1.5.
What I would want is for cfa_contentobjectinvokemethod to retrieve the
type directly from the request cache if possible, rather than going to the
cfa_objecttypeget machinery. Obviously this won't work very well if
cfa_objecttypeget never updates the cache!
