It started to work again when I removed the folder.

Remove the folder. Double check in the CFAdmin that it isn't listed there.
Open up the registry, find the CF part, and make sure you don't see it
listed under the collections part. In the past I've seen Verity choke when
a
collection isn't properly 'disposed' of, and that could be the problem your
having.

When you are _sure_ the folder is gone, and it isn't listed in the CFAdmin,
try running the index again.
