we have installed Spectra on a Solaris 7 box with Netscape LDAP and Sybase
too, everything seems to work fine for us, we even have an application built
on Spectra, yes, i do agreed the installation on Solaris version of
MM/Allaire product sometime might be misleading when you read it from the
manual, and trust me, i have scream for help when I installed spectra for
the 1st time. i guess MM/Allaire just put too much effort on Windows. I get
the same answer too when i asked for help previous : "try the forum"
if you need some help, mail me off the list, may be i can share some of my
painful experience with you
