This is great! Does anyone have (or know of) a similar procedure for
Solaris?

Casey,

As SiteMinder runs as a service you will need to set the two SiteMinder
services (SiteMinder Authentication Service/SiteMinder Authorization
Service) to Interact with the desktop. Control Panel->Services->
(service)->Startup.

Then run the \cfusion\bin\smconsole.exe and set the debug options for the
Authorization and Authentication services to Log to Console.

Once you restart the services, you'll have a console open for each
service that shows everything that would appear in the logs. Set the
console windows to have a scroll bar and you've got a very useful debug
tool as you can see everything that happens. (Although the performance
does slow down a production server, so don't leave it on for too long...)

Hope this helps you out

Phil
