I also get this problem, even though the long text box is ticked, when I'm
using UTF8 as the default character encoding in Oracle. Press refresh and it
goes away, annoying but we need the UTF8 db. Seems to get confused about
multi-byte characters, which is understandable since CF isn't supposed to
support them.
