Rae,
Since the list-serv has been down, you've probably fixed this by
now... just in case:
Can you look at the UserDirectory database for your application (if
this is the user directory being used, it is the default when you install
spectra but possibly someone created a new one for this client's
application) and look at the Users table? Look at the contents, check that
the usernames and passwords match.
If they do, and authentication is failing, check that the SiteMinder
authentication services are running.
Next, check that the security contexts are actually working against
a simpler authentication system - such as the i-Build application. You can
edit the i-Build application (if it's still installed on the spectra
servers) to use your client's application's user directory and security
contexts.
You can always delete and re-create a security context if they are
corrupt, simply adding the user directory back to a new security context of
the same name.
If none of this helps, or is unclear, let me know.
