We're working on a couple of sites that have both Spectra CODB data AND objects that represent files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). The Word and Excel files live in the filesystem and the Object just contains data on how to find them. My question has to do with indexing those documents. I would like to index those documents and be able to integrate searches into the documents with searches into CODB-based data. Anybody have suggestions on the best way to do this? Should we build a separate collection for them, index the documents ourselves and then integrate CODB and document-based searches in the search interface? Suggestions would be appreciated -- and if we need to build the collections ourselves what data gets put into which fields in the cfindex tag?
