I have received a bug fix notification from the site so it works to some
extent.
I would like to know more about the official stance on the site status too
as there isn't much there to tell you if it is still under development or
complete.

I just tried to access the site and got a challenge response dialog. Maybe
the site isn't quite supposed to be live yet.
